THE DG KADIFF AUDU KASHIM ISRAEL FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS FAITHFUL AT EID-AL-FITR
The Director General Kaduna international film festival Audu Kashim Israel has sent a felicitation on this year's Eid Al-Fitr to all Muslim faithful.
Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," is a major Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan's month-long fasting, prayer, and reflection. It signifies gratitude to Allah for strength, celebrates spiritual rejuvenation, and reinforces community bonds, charity (Zakat al-Fitr), and joy with family.
Muslims thank Allah for the strength to complete the fast, often with special congregational prayers, new clothes, and festive meals. A vital part of this day is Zakat al-Fitr (charity given to the needy), ensuring that everyone can participate in the festivities and fostering a spirit of generosity. The day emphasizes strengthening family bonds, visiting relatives, exchanging gifts, and fostering unity within the community.
As we celebrate let us remember the less privileged, poor, orphans, widows, sick, elders and lonely. Let us bring a smile and hope to them in the spirit of the celebration. May our prayers and fasting be acceptable to Allah.
I want to use this opportunity to call on leaders at all levels to bring hope to its citizens, where there is war we pray for peace. People are crying, complaining and sometimes find it difficult to eat due to the economic situation in Nigeria, we pray that the government sees the need to provide basic amenities for its people. We pray for unity, love, religious tolerance, forgiveness and kindness.
As celebrities, public figures, creatives, may we continue to be role models and put smiles on those in need.
"I wish all Muslim faithful a wonderful and Happy Eid Al-Fitr celebration".
