 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR KADIFF AUDU KASHIM ISRAEL FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFUL AT EID-AL-FITR  


The Executive Director Kaduna international film festival and Vice chairman Nigerian film festivals Association Audu Kashim Israel felicitates with Muslim faithful around the world on this year's Eid al-fitr celebration which marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.


His message - Eid al-Fitr is an Arabic word written : عيد الفطر, It is the first of the two official holidays celebrated within Islam (the other being Eid al-Adha). Eid al-fitr serves as a reminder of the importance of spiritual devotion, community bonds, and compassion towards others. By understanding the significance of Eid al-Fitr and embracing its teachings, This celebration is a reminder to reflect on the spiritual lessons learned during Ramadan, such as self-control, compassion, generosity, love, tolerance and discipline.


While reflecting on this year's Eid al-fitr celebration, everyday we read about different sad stories concerning some parts of Nigeria. Unrest, political and communal dispute, kidnappings, killings, food inflation, hardship etc. This is a call to government authorities to bring an end to what is happening, let the citizens smile again. Let us learn to tolerate one another irrespective of religion, region, tribe or race. Let us embrace each other in love and unity. Let what comes out of your mouth today be of compassion and peace not division and hate.


As we celebrate let us remember the poor or those who don't have to celebrate. Put a smile on someone's face today. 


Finally, This is a reminder to filmmakers around the world that the call for entries for this year's Kaduna international film festival closes on 23rd April 2025, please submit your work before the closing date as we look forward to hosting you in the beautiful city of Kaduna state Nigeria in August.

CHARLES OKWUOWULU AS HEAD, BOARD OF JURORS  The Executive director Kaduna international film festival and Vice chairman Nigerian film festivals Association Audu Kashim Israel has approved the appointment of Dr. Charles Okwuowulu to serve as head board of jurors for the 8th Kaduna international film festival.  Charles Okwuowulu is a film scholar and filmmaker. He was the Head of Theatre and Film Studies, (2018-2023) at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is a visiting scholar/lecturer at Gregory University, Uturu Abia State and Coal City Univerity Enugu State both in Nigeria.
