EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR KADIFF AUDU KASHIM ISRAEL FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL AT CHRISTMAS


The Executive Director Kaduna international film festival Audu Kashim Israel Felicitates with Christians at Christmas 2025. In his message he highlights the significance of Christmas. 


The word Christmas means “Christ’s mass” or “mass on Christ’s day.” The term originated from the Middle English Christemasse, which came from the Old English Cristes mæsse. (In Roman Catholicism and certain other Christian groups, a mass is a celebration of the Eucharist.) Christmas is a Christian festival to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmastime, running from Advent (a 4 week time of preparation and waiting) through Epiphany, is a season rich with countless religious and secular traditions that bring together family, faith, and culture while emphasizing themes of hope, joy, generosity, and goodwill.


Christmas is a major time for family gatherings, reconnecting, and strengthening bonds. The festival is Associated with gift-giving, sharing, and acts of charity, reflecting the spirit of giving the ultimate gift (Jesus).


As we celebrate this year's Christmas let us reflect on the teaching and the reason why we are celebrating. A lot has happened in our country Nigeria this year and is still happening. This is a call to the government at all levels to rise up to its responsibilities to bring hope and better life to its citizens just as this season preaches. We hope for a country free from killings, Kidnappings, terrorism, better living conditions, good health care, public infrastructure, peace and unity, 


As creatives and public figures it is our duty this season and beyond to be role models to the public, do content and produce movies that bring hope, unity and love. 


This is a time to show love to one another, avoid hatred, envy, jealousy and have a fraternal heart of forgiveness. As we celebrate with family and loved ones let us remember the poor, less privileged, orphans, widows and those who don't have anything to celebrate or are not even celebrating Christmas.

UBA SANI  The founder of Kaduna international film festival Audu Israel Kashim have personally sent a congratulatory message to the newly sworn in Governor of Kaduna state  Sen. Uba Sani.  The new governor of Kaduna state His Excellency Sen.
