 THE FOUNDER OF KADIFF AUDU KASHIM ISRAEL FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS AT EID-UL-FITR 


Eid Ul-Fitr is one of two major holidays celebrated by Muslims and commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast daily from before dawn until sunset. It is commemorated by a large, community-wide prayer service in the morning, followed by meals and conversation with friends and family. A mandatory charity called Zakat al-Fitr is collected before the prayer and distributed to the poor and needy to ensure all can participate in the festivities. Eid al-Fitr is the Arabic name for the holiday, though it goes by many other names in other languages. Eid al-Fitr means the feast, or festival, of breaking the fast.


Eid Ul Fitr, is associated with sympathy, kindness, and empathy for orphans, widows, the needy, the sick, and the disabled. This Eid's idea is to make others happy and so with a fraternal heart may we put a smile on someone's face today with love and peace. It is a time to come together without discrimination (irrespective of tribe, religion, race, region or culture) but embrace unity and harmony. This year EID-UL-FITR will be celebrated on Wednesday the 10th of April 2024. 


As Muslims observe this year's Eid celebration I urge us to not only pray for Nigeria but let us be the change we need for Nigeria to be better with actions. Let us follow the teachings of EID-UL-FITR even after the celebration. 


I want to use this opportunity to urge film makers and content creators to please make movies or content that will promote good morals, love, unity and stories that will change the society for good. 


While we hope filmmakers around the world have submitted their entries, KADIFF looks forward to receiving us all in Kaduna state Nigeria for the 7th Kaduna international film festival from 27th - 31st August 2024. 


May this Eid be a time for sharing, caring, and expressing gratitude for all the wonderful things in life. Eid Mubarak!

 THE FOUNDER OF KADIFF AUDU KASHIM ISRAEL CONGRATULATES RAHAMA SADAU ON NEW APPOINTMENT  The founder of Kaduna international film festival and Vice chairman Nigerian film festivals Association Audu Kashim Israel has congratulated Rahama Sadau an actress who features on both Nollywood and Kannywood movies on her appointment to serve on the technical committee of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprise (iDICE) programme. The Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprise (iDICE) programme is geared to provide strategic, technical, and operational support to the PCU and fund advisory board of the $617.7m iDICE program. The iDICE program is a collaborative effort between the government and international partners including the bank of industry, African development bank, French development agency and Islamic development bank. VICTOR OKHAI HEAD, BOARD OF JURORS  The founder of Kaduna international film festival and Vice Chairman Nigeria film festivals Association Audu Kashim Israel have reappointed Dr. Victor Okhai as head board of Jurors for the 7th edition of the festival. Dr. Okhai who headed the board of jurors for the 6th edition last year was committed to discharging his duties in fairness.
